Beyond the Snow: Experience the Magic of the Midnight Sun & Autumn Colours
Finland offers world-class educational adventures year-round. Our Summer and Autumn programmes replace skis with canoes and hiking boots, offering students a rare chance to experience the phenomenon of the “Nightless Night” or the spectacular foliage of the Arctic autumn. These expeditions focus on water safety, environmental stewardship, and navigation skills in a milder, yet equally striking, wilderness environment.
Winter: Skiing Expedition (7 days)
Challenging adventure. For true adventure seekers who want to take their team spirit to the next level while skiing through the Arctic winter.
Winter: Adventure Camp (7 days)
Beginner adventure. This camp gives you the opportunity to experience activities like cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, ice fishing and igloo building.

Effortless arrangements
All our school residentials include everything you need, allowing both students and teachers to focus on what matters most. We are straightforward and for every adventure we provide we’ll give you a fixed per-person price.
Safety
The adventure is led by a professional guide team that has suitable safety training for all the activities in the program. We have a detailed safety plan and risk assessment for the camp and the activities. Safety training is given before every activity.

Foods & drinks
All food is included. The menu typically consists of typical Finnish foods which are sourced as locally as possible. The food is plentiful and will give you lots of energy. Specific dietary requirements can be accommodated.
Gear for Activities
All the special gear will be provided; however, adventurers will be expected to come prepared for a variety of weather conditions.
Accommodation
Adventure Apes Lodge is located in the countryside of Kuusamo. The rooms are dorm-style with private bathrooms. Bed linen, towels and traditional wood-heated sauna are included. While in wilderness, suitable accommodation such as tents or shelters are provided.
Language
Our adventure are generally available in English or Finnish. Other preferred languages might be arranged – ask for other languages.
Free or discounted proce for school personnel or guardians
In most of our camps adults (usually up to 3 person) join the adventure for free or with discounts, but they are requested to participate fully in the program. Adults are also responsible for the night watch and make sure everyone stays in bed between 10pm and 7am.
