Our students have benefitted hugely from our collaboration because we have been able to plan and build programs that offer an array of challenging experiences in the unique Finnish setting and in Arctic conditions that demand respect and engagement.

24h On-ground support

Each group will have a single point of contact available around-the-clock and is hosted by a lead guide throughout the camp.

Safety & Accessibility

Detailed safety plans and risk assessments are prepared and shared in advance. Programs can be designed to be inclusive for all regardless of learning or physical disabilities. Guides have safety and first aid training appropriate for each activity.

Sustainability

We cooperate with small, local companies who share our values, shop local, and serve local foods whenever possible and operate a ‘leave no trace’ policy. We also teach the students the principles of being sustainable.

Small Groups

We keep our group sizes small and operate one group at a time. This is best for safety, but also because we want to get to know you so we can provide you the most authentic experience.

We use adventure education as a learning tool and our aim is to provide the students with opportunities for collaboration with others, taking responsibility not only for themselves but also for their team and kit, as well as improving self-development and leadership skills.

Character development is important for us but we also want to take your school values into account and highlight your core values during the camps in cooperation with your school staff.

Our values on educational school camps include:

INCLUSIVITY: Everyone is equal and are treated fairly regardless of their learning or physical abilities. No one is left out and we do our best to rotate the students in activities and tasks so that they will make new friends and feel important.
CURIOSITY: Students will face new culture, food, climate and activities during the camps. We understand being away from home is exciting and sometimes challenging but we encourage everyone to try their best and be curious to learn new things as we believe the best learning happens being out of your comfort zone.
RESPONSIBILITY: Everyone is responsible for making the camp an unique experience for everyone and plays a part in order to make the camp truly memorable for all.
COLLABORATION: On a camp we are all in one team. It is not a competition or a race and we accomplish everything together. No one is left behind and the ones performing well gives a hand to their peers who need some support. Together we are a team!
