How did we end up in Educational Travel?
Our path with Educational travel began in 2018 when we discovered an old school building at the border of Lapland, we imagined a place brimming with potential where learning would truly come alive and realized why not “school in school”? After extensive renovations, our lodge opened its doors in 2019, ready to welcome its first student adventurers.
Since then, we’ve become more than just a lodge or a camp; our philosophy is that learning extends beyond the walls of the classroom into nature. Our school camps have left student travelers with unforgettable life-long learning experiences. We’re proud to have built lasting relationships with partner schools who return year after year, trusting us to craft camps that perfectly align with their unique pedagogical goals. We believe every student deserves the chance to explore and grow, which is why we’re committed to creating inclusive experiences and are welcoming schools with special needs into our Adventure Apes family. We’re also honored to collaborate with fellow Educational travel providers who share our passion for transformative educational journeys in the Finnish outdoors.
We’ve even brought our “nature as a classroom” philosophy beyond our lodge, running successful camps in cities around Finland. And we don’t do it alone – we join forces with other local suppliers to make the experience a memorable one for all those involved.
